![]() Unlike Jacque Cartier, a story-telling narrative, Christopher Columbus is a study in faces. Alicia Gould, an American historian, through her research, has supplied the real names of 87 of the 89 sailors who had accompanied Christopher Columbus on his voyage. Pierre Bataille, during his stay at Felicity, California, had carved these three panels. He gave "a face" to each sailor. Each oak panel measures 8 Feet 2 Inches by 2 Feet.
